ProfitBank – Commercial Intelligence for Banking Profitability

Project Description:

ProfitBank is an advanced data analysis project focused on the banking sector.

Its main objective is to evaluate the profitability generated by each product and customer, combining key financial information to support strategic decision-making in areas such as marketing, customer retention, portfolio management, and commercial optimization.

Through the simulation of a realistic banking environment, three data sources were designed and analyzed: customer information, a catalog of financial products, and associated transactions (revenues and costs). The analysis focuses on calculating net profitability per customer-product, identifying high-value segments, and visualizing key insights in an interactive dashboard.

Technologies used: Python, Pandas, NumPy, Streamlit (for the dashboard), Matplotlib/Plotly (for visualizations).
Technical highlights: modeling of customer-product relationships, individualized profitability analysis, customer segmentation, and clear visualization of commercial metrics.

This MVP represents a key step towards integrating data intelligence into modern banking, enabling fact-based decision-making instead of relying on assumptions.
