Daily Metro Demand

The objective of this project is to analyze and predict daily passenger demand on the Barcelona Metro, in order to identify usage patterns, anticipate peak times, and improve operational planning. Based on historical ticket validation data and external variables such as day of the week, weather conditions, local events, and seasonality, a predictive model will be developed to provide:

- Daily ridership estimates by line or station

- Recommendations to optimize train frequency and
staffing

- Visualizations of trends and anomalies

- Forecast scenarios based on external conditions

This analysis aims to provide value to organizations such as Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB), the Barcelona City Council, and other stakeholders in urban mobility, promoting data-driven decision-making that enhances efficiency, sustainability, and the passenger experience in the metro system.
